Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: AS FM at 5.0 against TV program's 4.3. AS FM also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). TV program's advantage is update cadence (every 6 months vs every 36 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
AS FM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV program has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
TV program ships an update every 6 months, AS FM every 36 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
