Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speed Dial Widgets at none against Watch Faces Gallery +'s 2. Speed Dial Widgets also leads on review sentiment (78% vs 46%). Watch Faces Gallery +'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (20K vs 185). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Watch Faces Gallery + sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Speed Dial Widgets asks for nothing beyond the download.
Watch Faces Gallery + holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Watch Faces Gallery + has 20K ratings behind it against 185, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Watch Faces Gallery +'s written reviews are positive against 78% of Speed Dial Widgets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Watch Faces Gallery + ships an update every 2 weeks, Speed Dial Widgets every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
