Park Visit Log is your personal companion for exploring the national parks of the United States and Canada. Log every park you visit, track your progress toward visiting them all, and earn badges along the way — across all 104 parks in two countries. TWO COUNTRIES, ONE JOURNAL Track the 64 US national parks, then switch to Canada in Settings to explore all 40 Canadian national parks — from Banff and Jasper to Gros Morne and Auyuittuq. The grid, map, progress, badges, widgets, and Siri all follow the country you choose, and your history for both is always kept. A FIELD JOURNAL, DRAWN BY HAND Every park has its own hand-drawn ink landmark — Half Dome, the Gateway Arch, Moraine Lake — on a warm parchment tile. Visited parks earn a dated cancellation stamp, like a mark in a passport. TRACK YOUR VISITS Browse every park in a searchable, filterable grid. Log visits with dates, notes, photos, and the wildlife you saw. Exact date, month, year only, or approximate — record trips from memory. CHECK IN WITH GPS Tap Check In and the app detects which park you are standing in, using official National Park Service and Parks Canada boundaries, so you have to actually be there. The Closest Park card shows the nearest park with a compass that points the way. COLLECTIONS Group parks into lists — Utah's Mighty 5, California's Nine, the Rocky Mountain Four, or your own — and watch each one fill until it earns its COMPLETE stamp. THE BADGE BOOK Milestone badges from your first park to all 64, plus Seasons, Streaks, Landscapes, and Regions. Locked badges show how close you are, and every badge is dated to the visit that earned it. MADE FOR IPHONE DUO Open your iPhone Duo and the app becomes an atlas: the map on the left page, your journal on the right. Tap a park and the map flies to it and draws its official boundary, while a compass in the side bar points the way. Collections and trips appear on the map, and your Field Passport opens as a two-page book. LIVE PARK DATA FOR US PARKS Alerts, photos, hours, and fees for every US park, straight from the National Park Service, with notifications for new danger and closure alerts at parks you've visited. Canadian parks are fully offline. AND MORE Plan trips, keep a wishlist, see a year of visits on the heatmap, relive any year in Year in Review, and turn your stamps into a Field Passport you can export as a PDF. Sunrise, sunset, and moon phase for every park. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri, and Spotlight. Share cards for your progress and badges. EXPORT AND IMPORT Back up your visits, trips, and collections as a file and restore them on a new device. Duplicates are skipped and badges recalculate. Photos stay on your device. BUILT FOR PRIVACY Park Visit Log works entirely on your device. No account, no data collection, no analytics, no advertising. Your history never leaves your phone unless you export it. The only park-data requests go to the public National Park Service API for live US park data — no personal information is ever sent. Park Visit Log is free, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
