Both are free to download. The Botanist sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Sabrinalert sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for The Botanist against 4.7 for Sabrinalert. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sabrinalert has 274 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of The Botanist's written reviews are positive against 86% of Sabrinalert's.
The Botanist ships an update every 11 months, Sabrinalert every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
