Digital imperfections - modelled accurately! BitJuggler is the most complete audio AUv3 available today to simulate vintage digital processing and to recreate digital imperfections. Whether you'd like to go down memory lane to create that 80's digital sound from early personal computers, add vintage sampler character to your audio tracks, or shape your audio beyond analog simulation: BitJuggler will deliver the digital imperfections with painstaking accuracy. Go beyond bit crushing BitJuggler covers all your basic bit crushing needs, with various quantization schemes such as linear, a-law and mu-law quantization and with an optional envelope follower. In addition, the audio resampler with a variety of resampling algorithms easily produces that creative digital aliasing sound. Add musical noise BitJuggler also includes speech and transform codec simulators to accurately generate musical noise as you would get from transform codecs such as MP3 or AAC. A GSM speech codec adds spectrally shaped noise by employing linear predictive coding (LPC). Or you can keep it simple and experiment with dithering and perceptual noise shaping! Pre and post emphasis for further shaping of imperfections BitJuggler ads options for pre- and post emphasis for digital clipping, quantization and resampling to provide unique capabilities to further shape the effect of the bit crushing process. Visualize changes BitJuggler has a unique visualization feature: it will show the errors introduced by bit depth and sample rate reduction in real time. The ultimate plugin for educational purposes: allow students to hear and see the imperfections that are being introduced. Keep it moving Modulate bit depth and resampling properties with the integrated low-frequency oscillator (LFO) and generate moving sound scapes in which aliasing and quantization components travel in time and frequency. The ToneBoosters BitJuggler app captures the microphone (or external sound card) input and processes the signals in real time. To use it as a plug-in, use an AUv3-compatible host app such as Steinberg Cubasis, Apple Garageband, Audio Evolution Mobile Studio, Auria, AUM, or others. ToneBoosters BitJuggler will appear in the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins. Key features: - Wide range of options for bit crushing and resampling - Pre and post emphasis to shape the sound - Undo/redo, and A/B comparison - Color themes for the user interface - Adjustable colours for every filter section - Max screen support in Garageband - Optimised for iPad and compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch - Efficient, low CPU usage What you should know: - Licenses acquired for this platform are not compatible with other platforms. - Audio Unit (AUv3) extensions require an iPad mini 2, iPad 4 or later models.

Microtonal Lab is a complete microtonal music studio for iOS. Break free from the 12-note octave and explore the infinite space between the notes. AUv3 PLUGIN Use MicrotonalLab as a plugin inside GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, Drambo, and any AUv3-compatible host. The full step sequencer, tuning system, and SF2 instruments are available directly in your DAW. Record sequences as MIDI regions with automatic tempo sync. HARMONIC GALAXY Discover musical intervals as a visual universe. Every dot is an interval above the root — its size shows consonance, its color shows its position in the octave, and its number shows the exact distance in cents. Pinch to zoom and new microtones emerge from the depths. Build custom scales by tapping intervals and save them to your library. MICROTONAL KEYBOARD A fully playable keyboard with exact microtonal tuning. Choose from piano, strings, marimba, vibes, bass, pad, flute, or synthesized waveforms. Activate any scale from the library and the keyboard reconfigures to show precisely those notes. Supports glide between notes for expressive playing. STEP SEQUENCER A 16-step sequencer with microtonal note assignment per step, velocity, gate, and swing control. Syncs to the host tempo in AUv3 mode. LAUNCHPAD A grid-based launchpad for live performance. Rows correspond to scale degrees, columns to time — tap to toggle notes and play your patterns in real time. SCALE LIBRARY Browse world scales from dozens of musical traditions, including Arabic maqam, Indian ragas, Persian dastgah, Javanese gamelan, and many more. Preview any scale, then activate it across all views with one tap. TUNING SYSTEMS Switch between 12-TET, 19-TET, 24-TET, 31-TET, and 53-TET. Full access to all scale degrees in the sequencer for every tuning system. MIDI EXPORT Export your sequences to standard MIDI files with full microtonal pitch bend on each channel. Import directly into any DAW for further production. FX Filter (low-pass with cutoff and resonance), reverb (from small room to cathedral), and delay — all controllable via XY pads in real time during playback. Microtonal Lab is built for composers, sound designers, music theorists, and anyone curious about the music that lives between the keys.
