Huelinks is a social network community for professional People of Color. Our goal is to allow all People of Color to network personally, professionally and internationally. The platform provides an atmosphere that promotes diversity and unity. Huelinks gives People of Color the power to develop a community that brings the world together under one platform. Our primary aim is to provide an environment where people can feel comfortable and express themselves socially and professionally. The platform helps People of Color to connect with their family and friends, find communities and grow their businesses. This platform helps you stay connected and engender healthy conversations that promote values and businesses, discover what is happening in the world and share what matters in an environment that promotes mutual respect and cooperation. We identify and celebrate People of Color from all parts of the world, including Asians, Indians, Hispanics, Blacks, Middle Easterners and Native Americans. Huelinks helps to connect, strengthen and inspire communities, celebrate heritage, share stories of resilience, hard work and successes. Apart from being a social network community, part of our aim is to provide support for businesses and professionals to network and share experiences. (GBUL) is one of the local affiliates of the National Urban League– a nonprofit, nonpartisan, multi-ethnic, social service organization. Through direct service delivery, advocacy, referrals, community capacity building, information dissemination and technical assistance, the League accomplishes its mission to improve social and economic conditions and opportunities for African-Americans and other people who face barriers to full participation in American society. The National Urban League, founded in 1910 is the nation’s oldest and largest community-based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. The Greater Baltimore Urban League movement was founded in 1924. OUR MISSION ​​The mission of the Greater Baltimore Urban League movement is to enable African Americans and other minorities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. OUR STRATEGY Our three-pronged strategy for pursuing the mission is: 1) Ensuring that our children are well-educated and equipped for economic self-reliance 2) Helping adults attain economic self-sufficiency through good jobs, home ownership, entrepreneurship and wealth accumulation 3) Ensuring our civil rights by eradicating all barriers to equal participation in the economic and social mainstream of America OUR METHODS The Greater Baltimore Urban League movement carries out its mission through direct services, advocacy, research, policy analysis, community mobilization, collaboration and communications.
