Verdict
ASU Commencement and StudyFetch both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ASU Commencement's written reviews are positive against 33% of StudyFetch's. ASU Commencement also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). StudyFetch's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 20) and chart position (#110 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. StudyFetch sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. ASU Commencement asks for nothing beyond the download.
StudyFetch holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StudyFetch has 15K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of ASU Commencement's written reviews are positive against 33% of StudyFetch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ASU Commencement ships an update every 2 days, StudyFetch every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
