Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Ruby at none against PROBUS NYC's shown. Ruby also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). PROBUS NYC's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 155). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Ruby against 4.9 for PROBUS NYC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PROBUS NYC has 1.1K ratings behind it against 155, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Ruby's written reviews are positive against 80% of PROBUS NYC's.
