Stop typing the same thing over and over. Save it once, then it is one tap. Keep the account numbers, addresses, introductions and email openers you reuse as snippets. In Messages, Mail, Safari, anywhere you can type, switch to ClipKeyboard, tap once, and the text lands in the field. What it does Snippets: what you saved goes in exactly as it is. One tap. Templates: leave the parts that change as blanks, then fill them from values you already saved. Stacks: keep several values in one place and send them in order, or switch between them with the arrow. Secure snippets: lock passport and card numbers behind Face ID and open them only when you need them. Smart clipboard: what you copy is sorted for you. It recognizes emails, phone numbers, addresses, card numbers and IBANs, so you find them again in a second. Text recognition: photograph a card or a document, swipe over the part you want, and only that text becomes a value. iCloud backup: it survives a new phone, image snippets included. Please know this first This is a keyboard for putting saved text in. It does not replace the keyboard you type on. Switch to it when you need to drop something in, then switch back. Privacy What you write stays on your device. If you turn on iCloud backup, it is stored encrypted in your own iCloud. We do not collect the contents of your snippets and we use no third-party analytics. Free and Pro Every feature is free until you have inserted snippets 100 times. After that, everything you made keeps working; the free limits apply only to new items. Pro removes every limit, as a one-time purchase or a yearly subscription. Works on iPhone and iPad. Available in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Russian, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch, Polish, Czech, Greek, Turkish, Indonesian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Thai and Vietnamese. Signing a document shouldn't mean printing, scrawling, scanning, and emailing it back. Signed lets you do the whole thing on your iPhone in under a minute — and keeps every document private to your device. Make a signature you're proud of - Draw it with your finger on a smooth, natural canvas. - Type it in one of twelve handwriting styles, or in any font on your iPhone. - Add your company seal or stamp: scan or import it once, then place it like a signature. - Scan or import one you already have. - Save your favorite as the default and reuse it everywhere. Sign any PDF in seconds - Import a PDF from Files, Photos, or another app. - Drop your signature, initials, name, date, text, or a checkmark exactly where they belong. - Your name and today's date fill themselves in, so the common stuff is one tap. - Export a clean, flattened, signed PDF and share it anywhere. Private by design — this is the part that matters Signed is local-first. Your documents, your signatures, your initials — they're stored only on your iPhone. We never upload them, we can't see them, and there's no cloud copy on any server. The paperwork you sign is nobody's business but yours. Made to feel good to use - A calm, clean design that gets out of your way. - Optional Face ID lock for an extra layer of privacy. - Dark mode from day one. Signed is for the everyday signing life — leases, NDAs, offer letters, school forms, waivers, the form your landlord just emailed. Fast, beautiful, and yours alone. What your subscription includes Signed Pro unlocks everything above: saving signatures, initials and seals to your library, and signing and exporting unlimited PDFs. Choose a weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. You can create your first signature free during setup; Signed Pro is required to keep using the app. The weekly subscription auto-renews until you cancel — manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Clip Keyboard at free with in-app purchases against eSign's subscription. Clip Keyboard also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). eSign's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.
