Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Mana Viewer at 5.0 against WoWo Comics's 4.2. Mana Viewer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). WoWo Comics's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 55%) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Mana Viewer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WoWo Comics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Mana Viewer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WoWo Comics has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Mana Viewer's written reviews are positive against 73% of WoWo Comics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Mana Viewer ships an update every 8 days, WoWo Comics fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
