ขอนแก่นปลาตู้ เริ่มเปิดดำเนินกิจการเมื่อปี 2527 อยู่บ้านเลขที่ 75 ถนนรื่นรมย์ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดขอนแก่น เป็นอาคารพาณิชย์ 1 คูหา จำหน่ายปลาสวยงาม ตู้ปลา และอุปกรณ์การเลี้ยงปลาสวยงาม โดย นายณรงค์ คงบุญเกียรติ และครอบครัว ได้ช่วยในกิจการ ต่อมาได้เพิ่มสินค้าเกี่ยวกับอาหารสุนัข อาหารแมว อาหารนก และอุปกรณ์สัตว์เลี้ยงสวยงามครบวงจร ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2537 ได้ย้ายร้านจาก ถนนรื่นรมย์ มาที่เลขที่ 678/7 ถนนหน้าเมือง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดขอนแก่น ในพื้นที่ขายมากกว่าเดิม ทำให้กิจการขยายได้มากขึ้น จนในวันที่ 23 มีนาคม 2557 ได้ขยายกิจการเพิ่มขึ้น ที่หน้าตลาดการเคหะเมืองเก่า ในรูปแบบบริษัท ภายใต้ชื่อ บริษัท ขอนแก่นปลาตู้เพ็ทมาร์ท จำกัด ตั้งอยู่ที่ 699 ถนนกลางเมือง ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดขอนแก่น เปิดบริการทั้งลูกค้าปลีก และส่ง มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
