Speech Therapy Practice (STP) presents phrases to the user and the user presses a button to tell STP to start listening. The user than says the practice phrase aloud and then when done presses the stop button to let the application know they are done. STP then indicates whether it heard the phrase correctly, and if not displays what it heard. STP utilizes the iOS speech recognition technology to determine what it heard. So if your iPhone or iPad understands the user, it is likely others will too. The initial phrase list contains the most commonly used speech therapy phrases. The phrase list can be tailored to each individual. In the phrase list, the application shows how many times each phrase has been presented and how often it was "understood". Speech Therapists can look at the phrase list and see if there are phrases that need to be practiced. I created this application to help my father practice his speech after a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), it is very focused on being easy to use.

Help Me Talk is a speech practice app that parents and speech-language therapists use to help your child express needs and feelings easily by choosing the right picture. This method of accelerated learning uses visuals that are clear and easy to understand. The application consists of four major features which enable your child to start speaking gradually: 1- Make a sentence: Let your child choose pre loaded pictures or take pictures from camera or photo library, in order to create a sentence which he can listen to. 2- Daily life: Help your child to add the activity for each day in a week period, by choosing from the collection of pictures. 3- Emotions: Help your child to choose from a collection of photos to express his emotions. 4- Articulation Practice: Help your child practice clear pronunciation with guided sound lessons covering every major English consonant. Each sound includes a "Teach Me" audio guide, mouth-position tips, and practice at three levels — words, phrases, and sentences — with built-in voice recording and pronunciation feedback.
