ESLEasy_Mobile vs ScanLink

ESL-Easy Mobile is the mobile recording software for ESL-Easy for linking electronic labels (electronic shelf label, ESL) with products or their data. The app requires the ESL-Easy system (http://www.esl-easy.de) to operate. After installation, the ESL-Easy server data for communication must be entered or read in via QR code (the configuration for ESL-Easy can be taken over from another device via a QR code if you as an employee do not know the parameters) . The app enables barcodes to be captured via the device's camera. Additionally (and recommended) it is possible to use professional scanners that you connect to your device via Bluetooth (HID mode or keyboard emulation) and use them to capture the barcodes. ScanLink allows a store associate to assign a product to a display and when required, check the display image and to unassign or replace the ESL. It also allows the store associate to refresh the image, step through the pages held in the ESL and perform other routine ESL management tasks. This is done with a mobile phone, or with specialised hardware such as Zebra TC52 or Linea Pro 7. In simple terms, ScanLink works with Displaydata’s Dynamic Solution software via the in store WiFi to manage the product information that is shown on the associated displays. It does this using the barcode attached to the ESL and that of the product.
