HeroBridge is a first of its kind, safe, private, social media community designed to empower transitioning age youth (TAY) who have aged-out of their local foster system. HeroBridge connects TAY to a broad range of peer mentorship and informed life skill resources that are provided by qualified local mentorship organizations. Through rich social, learning and life-skill media resources the HeroBridge virtual community is a private, lively place where youth and mentors can find each other and georeferenced resources 24x7. The proven results are TAY who are socially, emotionally and vocationally equipped for a fulfilling life! Designed to be a peer kinship community for life, members can reliably and consistently find a positive social support community, tracked learning opportunities and life enrichment activities. All in a safe, private and ad free web and mobile app environment. Accessed through referral, HeroBridge empowers eligible TAY and qualified mentors with 1,000's of videos, articles, feeds, courses and even livestream events. Eligible TAY can access the critical need-to-knows of adult life, as well as find educational/vocational life skill tracks, peer interest groups, live events, sports and hobbies they can become passionate about. No young adult should ever be alone and without support in America, and with HeroBridge on their laptop, iPad or mobile device, they never have to be ever again. The JIT Network brings people and communities CLOSER. That includes everyone with a passion for empowering young people impacted by foster care by forming a caring, responsive and self-sustaining ecosystem of resources, inspiration and supportive relationships. Current foster youth and accomplished alumni, committed volunteers and purpose-driven partners, change agents and dedicated disruptors, all working through The JIT Network to establish an effective community alternative to a “systems” model of service. Together, we share solutions designed and owned by our members, and ultimately create collective, exponential and durable positive influence that changes foster care forever. The JIT Network is hosted by Just in Time for Foster Youth, an organization that’s been building a long “bridge” to self-sufficiency, well-being and life satisfaction for youth for 20 years, closing gaps as they leave the system with no stable adult relationships and no trusted community after age 18. JIT’s responsive, innovative model is grounded in the premise that disconnection from a healthy community is the foundational problem for the youth we serve, so creating powerful, lasting relationships and reliable communities is the foundational, but too often neglected, solution.
