TEMS™ OnDevice vs App

When used together with your TEMS Investigation or TEMS Paragon PC software, the TEMS Ondevice app can test true user experience in high-speed data networks like 5G and LTE-A. The app itself will initiate data service testing on your iPhone. Tests can be issued either manually in the app or remotely via your TEMS software for automated testing. These tests are often performed while moving to test different network conditions so accurate location is needed. These tests are also performed to test from a user perspective, which many times involves network traffic during an ongoing phone call, which requires the TEMS Ondevice app to have persistent location. However location updates are only activated while a test is active. As soon as the test is done, the TEMS Ondevice app will stop the location updates. The supported services are: • HTTP GET / POST for file transfers • HTTP Get for web browsing • Ping • iPerf UL/DL for TCP or UDP TEMS Investigation and TEMS Paragon are licensed* 'PC-based' tools developed for measuring the performance and quality of wireless networks. TEMS tools are used for network deployment, troubleshooting, optimization and site verification. App Analyzer can extract useful information from Apple’s app activity report where you can check and analyze your applications’ activities. App Analyzer has 2 main sections extracted: - Privacy Activity, which is the app's activity in accessing your private information (E.x: Photos, Location, Camera). - Network Activity, which is the app’s internet activity filtered in a form of domains requested from each app used the internet (E.x: https://apple.com domain got one request from the app which is a single hit).
