Glyphra is an offline OCR scanner for iPhone: photograph a printed page, receipt or handwritten note and get text you can copy, search, translate and export as a searchable PDF. Recognition runs on your iPhone — no account, no upload. Scanning your own pages needs Glyphra Pro with a 3-day free trial. YOUR PAGES STAY ON YOUR PHONE There is no account and no upload. Recognition runs on your iPhone, so it works even in airplane mode, and your documents stay in the app. Glyphra goes online only to handle purchases and your subscription. READS WHAT OTHER SCANNERS MISS Printed pages, forms, receipts, slides — and handwriting. AN ARCHIVE, NOT A HISTORY LIST Every scan you keep becomes a document with a name and a date. Search runs inside the text of all of them, so a phrase you half-remember from a page months ago is one query away. WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE TEXT • Copy any part of it, or the whole page • Export a plain text file • Export a PDF that holds the page image with a real, searchable text layer • Translate it with Apple's on-device translation • Tap a phone number, address or link found in the text • Read it in the font you prefer — sans, serif or monospace MULTIPLE PAGES, ONE DOCUMENT Photograph a twenty-page contract in one session. Glyphra reads every page, keeps them in order and files them together. GLYPHRA PRO Unlimited recognition, handwriting included. Pro: unlimited pages per scan, an unlimited archive, folders, export to text and PDF, and translation. Glyphra Pro is $4.99 per week or $29.99 per year, each with a 3-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at the end of the trial. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EYDAPP at none against Glyphra's 4. EYDAPP also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Glyphra's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
