PeakID

PeakID is an app that shows the name, elevation, and distance of any mountain in AR—just point your smartphone camera at it. "What's that mountain?" Get the answer instantly, whether you're new to hiking, traveling, or gazing out a train window. Covers about 17,500 peaks across Japan, plus around 350,000 mountains worldwide. Use it in the Alps, the Himalayas, or wherever your travels take you. Every mountain you capture is pinned on a map, building your own collection of peaks you've seen. Key Features ・AR display of mountain names and major landmarks ・Worldwide mountain coverage (mountain data is built into the app, so names appear even on summits with no signal) ・Available in Japanese and English (switches automatically based on your device language) ・Skyline rendering ・Hides peaks blocked by nearer mountains and labels only the summits you can actually see ・Photo capture & automatic collection ・Pin map ・Adjustable visible range Notes ・Label accuracy depends on your device's GPS and compass precision. ・Accuracy may decrease indoors or in areas with poor reception. ・While our mountain data is extensive, not every mountain is included. Coverage outside Japan varies by region. ・On first launch, the app will obtain your location and perform calibration. ・World mountain data: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), Wikidata (CC0)

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: FuelMizer at none against PeakID's shown. FuelMizer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). PeakID's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 27 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
