Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Eventeny at free against Pocket Beacon's subscription. Eventeny also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Pocket Beacon's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 2.8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pocket Beacon holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Beacon has 366 ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Eventeny's written reviews are positive against 28% of Pocket Beacon's.
Eventeny ships an update every 6 weeks, Pocket Beacon fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
