Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: AL BOSS at 43% against ForkIt!'s 0%. AL BOSS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (34 vs 2). ForkIt!'s advantage is rating (4.0 vs 2.9) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForkIt! sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. AL BOSS asks for nothing beyond the download.
ForkIt! holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AL BOSS has 34 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of AL BOSS's written reviews are positive against 0% of ForkIt!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AL BOSS ships an update every 3 months, ForkIt! fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
