StrokeClock 3 vs OKAKI PIP Mobile

The StrokeClock App offered by the StrokeCenter Bern, Switzerland, allows continuous monitoring of the stroke treatment workflow in Stroke Centers and Stroke Units. The time points measured (i.e. hospital arrival, start IVT) are adjustable which allows perfect adaption to local needs. The statistical tool included in the app can be used to identify critical time-consuming processes within the stroke treatment workflow. The StrokeClock App can be used in two modes: - Local mode: In local mode data is stored locally and send to a pre-specified email address (CSV file). - Dashboard mode (activated by entering user data from www.strokeclock.ch within the settings). In Dashboard Mode Data is transferred real-time to a password-protected internet accessible database: o The dashboard gives overview on the current treated patients and the actual time point within the workflow. o A statistical tool can be used to identify critical time-consuming processes within the stroke treatment workflow. o Dashboard mode allows a multiuser usage for large Stroke Centers. o Database can be exported (CSV file).

OKAKI’s PIP Mobile application is an add-on to the full version of OKAKI’s Pharmacy Immunization Program (PIP) suite of products. PIP is a secure SaaS based system and is available to authorized users who have a current subscription to PIP. It was designed with a simple layout to allow quick, easy, and secure immunization record entry in the pharmacy or for offsite immunization clinics in the community. The application requests permission to use the camera so the application can scan barcodes for patient searches as well as vaccine vials for GTIN codes, lot numbers and expiry dates. The application also requests permission to use the microphone to enable the user to use voice to text when entering notes. Use of the camera and microphone is optional as the application is fully functional except for barcode scanning and voice to text. This application does not access any user data on the phone (contacts, photos, mail etc.) and only requires a connection to the internet (Wi-Fi or cellular data). What personal information does the app require? The application does not require any personal information from the user. All users have an existing account with us and must log in to use the application. Beyond the permissions already described, what other disclosures and user consent steps does the app contain? The application does not prompt for any consents as this application is an add-on to an existing subscription based electronic health record system where the user has already agreed to the terms and conditions of use. Why do users access confidential patients’ medical records? The Healthcare professionals using this app require patient information from PIP to view the patient’s past immunizations, allergies, and any history of past adverse reactions to immunizations to ensure the patient’s well being. The patient information displayed on the mobile device is retrieved securely by authorized users of PIP and is governed by health information privacy laws and regulations across Canada.
