Baby Cry Translate

Your baby is crying. You have not slept. And you are trying to work out what they need. Cry Translate listens to a few seconds of crying and gives you a starting point, so you are not guessing alone at 3am. HOW IT WORKS Record a short clip. You get a likely reason, a confidence score, and practical things to try right now. THE FIVE SOUNDS Results are built around Dunstan Baby Language, a widely known parent framework describing five short sounds newborns make just before a full cry: Neh - hunger Owh - sleepy Heh - discomfort Eairh - lower gas Eh - needs burping It is a familiar way to put words to what you are hearing. We present it as exactly that, never as proven science and never as a diagnosis. YOUR RECORDINGS ARE NOT KEPT The clip is analyzed and then deleted. It is never uploaded, never stored, and never attached to your account. Only the result and the time it happened are saved, so you can see patterns. SOOTHING SOUNDS Lullabies, white noise, nature and colic tracks that loop, with a sleep timer that fades out gently instead of cutting off. PATTERNS OVER TIME See which reasons come up most, and which hours are hardest. Useful when a pediatrician asks how the nights are going. ASK AI A calm assistant for the questions that arrive at 4am. Type a question, get a short practical answer. Your chat is never stored: close the screen and the conversation is gone for good. IMPORTANT Cry Translate is a companion for tired nights, not a medical device. It does not diagnose. If your baby has a fever, will not settle, or something feels wrong, call your pediatrician. A subscription unlocks unlimited analysis, the full sound library, history and the assistant. Verdict
The clearest difference is device support: Reading Diary at 3 against Baby Cry Translate's 1. On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reading Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Baby Cry Translate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
