Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: VPNGN at 5.0 against VPN Tracker's 4.3. VPNGN also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). VPN Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and VPNGN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
VPNGN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Tracker has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
VPN Tracker ships an update every 5 weeks, VPNGN every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
