Hamster Pouch is a one-touch game about beating an ever-growing high score. Its a simple game that you can play when you're waiting in line, before your class or shift starts, in the bathroom, literally anywhere. (but not while driving, don't do that.) It's my first mobile game as an indie developer, so I do have to charge a bit of pocket change for it, but it'll be worth it. Why will it "be worth it"...? • Pure, satisfying one-touch gameplay • 100+ unique hamsters with their own high-score star values • Quick runs or long plays, there's endless “one more try”. You can literally play this game for 30 seconds. • No ads or in-app purchases, ever. You pay once, and thats that. • Play offline anytime • Optimized for butter smooth performance and low battery use How it works: • Each hamster has a star value (its personal high score) • Your pouch tracks each hamster type's star high score. • Tap to roll a hamster with a star value, and try to push past your best and win a better hamster • Miss the mark? Roll again instantly Got feedback? I’ll be listening: see the attached Support URL.

Idle Acorns and Hamster Pouch both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Hamster Pouch's written reviews are positive against 60% of Idle Acorns's. Idle Acorns's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Idle Acorns costs $1.99 and Hamster Pouch $1.00 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Idle Acorns against 4.8 for Hamster Pouch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Idle Acorns has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Idle Acorns's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hamster Pouch's.
