(IPTO) was established with Law 4001/2011 and was organized and operates as an Independent Transmission Operator in line with the provisions of EU Directive 2009/72/EC. The mission of IPTO is the operation, control, maintenance and development of the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System, to ensure the country’s supply with electricity in an adequate, safe, efficient and reliable manner, as well as the operation of the electricity market for transactions outside the Day Ahead Scheduling, pursuant to the principles of transparency, equality and free competition.

The SEISCMICITY – Ν.Ο.Α. application is the official application of the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, with the aim of providing to the citizens timely and reliable information about seismic events in Greece. It is thus a direct point of contact for the general public, the traditional and digital press and the scientific community around the seismic phenomena in the country. Thanks to the participatory action of its users, the application displays an overall picture of the magnitude and impact of the earthquake.
