Swords! Dragons! Castles! Magical fireballs! Inns with ale! Retro gaming at its most retro! Midgaard is our homage to the text MUDs of decades past. Running on the TriadCity platform, it's an emulation of the classic DikuMUD adventure tradition circa 1994. Midgaard is a labor of love for us. It's where many of us first encountered MUDs and were astonished by their engrossing play and extraordinary potential. It's full of clever ideas, many of which became standards as the tradition evolved. Most importantly, it's fun! It's completely FREE to play, is blind-friendly, and has more women players than men. Best of all, it's friendly! For twenty years SmartMonsters has been free of the flame wars, misogyny, and mean-spiritedness prominent in some other environments. Even our bulletin boards are safe! Visit us today - we can't wait to meet you! As a member of the SmartMonsters universe, Midgaard is one linked World among others. Your characters can move freely between Midgaard, TriadCity, Dungeon, and future Worlds all with quite different "laws of physics". Meet you there! * Simple, straightforward graphical interface with minimal controls. * All major game and account functions available in-app, without having to exit to the Web site. * Graphical displays of character state: health, energy, attributes, skills, etc. * Manage chat channels, natural language parsing, and other features. * Character maintenance: health, energy, experience, Skills. * Store login creds in the Keychain; share them among devices via iCloud. * Access the Players' Guide, FAQ, Message of the Day and other website resources directly within the app. * Create new characters. * Fully mobile: works happily over WiFi or cellular data. * Blind-friendly: thoroughly tested with Voice Over by volunteers from audiogames.net and elsewhere. * Female-friendly: we've had more women players than men for over 20 years. * Very friendly community - apparently all the mean people go to WoW 'cos we have none; even our bulletin-boards are safe! * Thousands of players from all over the world.

Inkfall is a brush-stroke survival roguelite. Draw on a living ink-wash page to hold back the flood: a slash, a circle, a zigzag, each one a different attack. Ink blots swarm from every side. Chain kills into combos, wake the dragon, pick an artifact at every level, and raise familiars that fight beside you. Every run is yours. NEW: THE INK JOURNAL Play Today's Page each day and it leaves an impression in your Ink Journal. Day by day, six ink paintings come to life, and each one carries its own power into your Journey. FEATURES • Gesture combat: no buttons, just brush strokes. The cleaner you draw, the harder a stroke hits. • The Dragon's Tail: fill the bar, draw one long line, and a painted dragon follows it through the horde. • Four familiars, each with its own job: a crane that dives where you slash, a koi that spins a whirlpool, a lantern whose light slows enemies to a crawl, a tiger that pounces with your storms. They grow as you fight. • The Living Painting: every run restores an ink landscape, and restored places join your fights. Ride the River, freeze the tide at the Shrine, call lightning from the Pagoda. • Three scrolls of campaign, each closed by its own guardian. • The Endless Scroll: a descent in chapters, with a seal guardian rising every three minutes. • Today's Page: one shared daily run with Game Center ranks. • Four brushes, seven artifacts and hidden combos to discover. • The Codex: every enemy and how to beat it, every technique with a page to practise it, your mastery and records. • River Letters: a short story drifts down the river as your days of Today's Page add up. • The Unwritten Scroll: after the Journey, every deeper Endless run paints more of one great scroll, and new records stamp it with seals. The Scroll of Dawn and the first chapter of the Endless Scroll are free forever. Unlock The Full Scroll once to open the deep chapters, a third familiar and the Ink Tiger, the Scrolls of Night and Embers, the Dragon's Tail, and a second carried Journal painting. No subscriptions, no ads, no energy timers. Pick up your brush. The page is waiting.
