Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: BAS at 5.0 against VmV App's 4.3. BAS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). VmV App's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 42%) and ratings volume (47 vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VmV App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. BAS asks for nothing beyond the download.
BAS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VmV App has 47 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of BAS's written reviews are positive against 70% of VmV App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
BAS ships an update every 6 weeks, VmV App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
