Lumen

Pay once for Pro. No subscription, no ads, no account. Works offline. Lumen is the iOS calculator and session log for owners of consumer red light panels. Pick your panel, set your distance and duration, and get a J/cm² dose with biphasic-window guidance — cited to peer-reviewed PBM literature by PMID. Track cumulative dose per body region with the Arndt-Schulz biphasic guardrail. Brand-aware preset library covers Mito Red Light, Joovv, and GembaRed, with per-model peak irradiance sourced from LightLab International Allentown (ISO/IEC 17025-accredited) or each vendor's published spec page. Not a medical device. Lumen does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. It is a calculator, a citation reference, and a session log. You bring the goals; Lumen does the dose math against the literature. Why named-source citations matter: photobiomodulation literature is rich but inconsistently summarized. Lumen surfaces "Cited to Huang/Hamblin 2011 PMID 22461763" on every dose band, "Cited to Freitas/Hamblin 2016 PMID 28070154" on the mechanism explainer, and per-panel LightLab or vendor URLs on every irradiance value. Every default traces to a source you can verify yourself. Features • J/cm² dose calculator with inverse-square distance scaling from each vendor's reference distance to your actual treatment distance • Brand-aware panel preset library — Mito Red Light (MitoPRO 300X, 1500X, 300+ v2, 1500+ v2, 750X stub with lab-audit-pending badge), Joovv (Solo, Quad, Elite 3.0), GembaRed (Groove, Reboot) • Per-panel wavelength composition disclosure (660 nm red, 810 / 850 nm near infrared, etc.) • Biphasic-window dose bands — below therapeutic, low therapeutic window (5–10 J/cm² per PMC11991943 2025 review), extended therapeutic, caution, overshoot risk — cited to Huang, Sharma, Carroll, Hamblin 2011 PMID 22461763 • Multi-target session log: face, shoulders, joints, back, full body, or any custom target you add • Per-target cumulative dose chart with weekly biphasic band overlay • Custom panel entry for any panel not in the preset library • Reference cards: Arndt-Schulz biphasic curve explainer, cytochrome c oxidase mechanism explainer (PMID 28070154) • Citations & Sources tab: every Tier 1 PMID, every Tier 2 vendor URL, with last-verified dates • Universal app for iPhone and iPad Free download with the panel preset library (read-only browse), single-session J/cm² calculator on one panel, the biphasic-curve reference card, the mechanism explainer, and the full Citations & Sources screen. $6.99 one-time unlocks Lumen Pro permanently: multi-panel session log, cumulative-dose tracking with biphasic-window guardrails, distance-aware calc across saved panels, per-target trend charts, custom panel entry, and unlimited targets and sessions. 24-hour trial starts when you first tap a Pro feature. Privacy: Lumen collects nothing. No analytics, no accounts, no network requests. Your sessions live on your device. Like calculators with citations? Look up Frost (cold plunge), Watt (solar for van and RV), Strip (USDA jerky safety), Trace (cold-process soap), and Press (hard cider) by the same developer.
