Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Lightbox draw at every 6 days against BuddyColo's every 2 weeks. On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. BuddyColo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Lightbox draw sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
BuddyColo holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 91 and 254 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of BuddyColo's written reviews are positive against 53% of Lightbox draw's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
BuddyColo ships an update every 2 weeks, Lightbox draw every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
