The “ECS Sync” iPhone app functions as a direct communication platform between ARRI and users of ARRI’s Electronic Control System (ECS). Adaptable to any camera and any lens, ARRI ECS tools include wireless hand units and digital controllers, intelligent lens motors, and distance measurers. With the ECS Sync app, users can receive up-to-the-minute software updates, news, and answers to frequently asked questions relevant to these products. In addition, the ECS Sync app enables Bluetooth file sharing between ECS devices and the app via the new Hi-5 hand unit, without the need of a bulky laptop on set. Software versions can be synchronized, and transferred from the app to the connected devices. Lens files and user settings can be archived in the app, or forwarded on, including to the user’s Google Drive or Drop Box. Lens files can also be displayed graphically, contributing to the app’s usefulness as a portable and intuitive filmmaking tool. Ranger Manager App Manage every parameter of you Ranger from the convenience of you smartphone. Pair units, update firmware, and configure all of Ranger's features (including spectrum analyzer, range finder, realtime RSSI indicator, etc.) remotely and save time in production. Pairing - Pair transmitters and receivers right from your device. Spectrum Analyzer - Ranger receivers include a built-in spectrum analyzer, allowing you to detect congestion in the area and determine which frequency offers the best performance for your devices. Channel Selection - Manually tune the channel that is best for your area in 5Mhz increments. Ranger can also be set remotely for 20 or 40Mhz bandwidth operation. Quality / Range Analyzer - See additional video quality and information about the distance between connected devices. Monitor individual RF channel RSSI values in realtime to feed back information to your operator or production partners to maximize your signal awareness. Output Format - Scale the output format directly from the Ranger Receiver as needed or set to Auto for maximum flexibility. Test Pattern - Output a test pattern directly from the Ranger Receiver. Quality Selection - Choose between Maximum Quality, Maximum Range, and Balanced. Broadcast Mode - Increase transmission range and prevent multiple receivers from interfering with each other when placed close together. Audio Settings - Enable a tone from the Ranger when camera recording is triggered or turn off completely.
