The group was organized to promote common business interests through friendly and fraternal cooperation. The purpose of GLA was to foster and encourage the international commerce and distribution of goods by air, ocean and inland transportation.

Global Logistics Associates (GLA) are one of the oldest non-profit freight forwarding and customs broker associations in existence. Since 1989, GLA Members have worked together across 6 continents and in over 200 ports to provide the highest levels of service at the most competitive rates for their clients. The GLA Members app is designed for its members to be able to communicate directly through the app in real time. You can chat with each member separately or form groups. You will be able to search by country, port, member company or direct names making it easy for you to reach the correct person saving you valuable time. As a member, you will be sent a key, all you have to do is put this key in along with your company email address and you will be registered. You can then create your profile and start interacting with other members already registered across the globe. The app doesn't just have a directory of all members and their responsible departments, it also has walk through manuals to help you get the most out of GLA and direct notifications from GLA head office notifying you of events and important announcements direct to you phone.
