nRF Edge Impulse app is developed in collaboration with Edge Impulse to train and deploy embedded machine learning models on the Nordic Thingy:53 using Edge Impulse Studio. Every Nordic Thingy:53 comes pre-installed with firmware compatible with the nRF Edge Impulse mobile app. The app allows you to upload raw sensor data via your mobile device to the cloud-based Edge Impulse Studio and deploy fully trained ML models to the Nordic Thingy:53 over Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE). The app allows you to choose between existing projects in Edge Impulse studio data or creating a new project and can collect sensor data from the following set of sensors on the Nordic Thingy:53: - Accelerometer - Microphone - Magnetometer - Light - Temperature, Pressure, Humidity and Air quality - Inertial (Accelerometer and Magnetometer) - Light and Environment - Light and Inertial - Environment and Inertial - Light and Environment and Inertial The collected sensor data can be labeled as training or testing data and may be inferenced directly in the app with machine learning model deployed to the Nordic Thingy:53. A free Edge Impulse account, which may created from the app or at www.edgeimpulse.com, is required to connect nRF Edge Impulse with Edge Impulse studio.
Docker Management

Receive notifications of docker events such as "start, create, delete, tag etc" of "container/image/volume/network" directly to your mobile. Connect via ssh to your Linux/MacOS machine to monitor/manage your docker. This application allows you to: - add multiple servers - connect through password or ssh key - receive notifications on docker events - ability to customize notification triggers - select events to be notified - choose what to exclude/include - pick a silence window (to not receive notifications) - list containers - create containers - start containers (multiple at once) - stop containers (multiple at once) - restart containers (multiple at once) - remove containers (multiple at once) - inspect containers - view resource usage of containers - view logs of containers (real time) - search on logs of containers - enter shell of containers - list images - vulnerability image scanning - build images - search images on registries - pull images (also from private registries) - remove images (multiple at once) - inspect images - list volumes - remove volumes (multiple at once) - inspect volumes - list networks - remove networks (multiple at once) - inspect networks - docker compose - list projects - start project - stop project - restart project - remove project Features - Server info is stored on phone only (the data is wiped out once the app is removed) - Receive notifications on docker events - Run "docker system prune" to clean up unnecessary resources NOTE No docker daemon or docker api is required to be enabled for this app, simply connect via ssh. It is strongly recommended NOT to open unnecessary ports on your server (such as enabling docker daemon) as it can expose your server to more security threads. Q/A Q: Why I can not connect with non-root users? A: The docker commands are executed by the app without "sudo" so you will need to add your non-root user to the docker group with the following command: sudo usermod -aG docker $USER sudo reboot Q: How to connect to Docker Desktop on MacOS? A: On MacOS, enable 'Remote Login' and if using non-root user, add user to the docker group. Q: How to connect to Synology server? A: If using non-root user, then add user to docker group on your server: sudo synogroup --add docker sudo synogroup --memberadd docker $USER sudo chown root:docker /var/run/docker.sock Q: How to connect to QNAP server? A: If non-root user, then add user to docker group on your server: sudo addgroup $USER administrators Terms of Use (EULA) - https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Found a bug? Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: nRF Edge Impulse at 5.0 against Docker Management's 3.0. nRF Edge Impulse also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7). Docker Management's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Docker Management sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. nRF Edge Impulse asks for nothing beyond the download.
nRF Edge Impulse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of nRF Edge Impulse's written reviews are positive against 40% of Docker Management's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
nRF Edge Impulse ships an update every 3 months, Docker Management monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
