Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Datezzle at 100% against Livejoy's 43%. Datezzle also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.9) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Livejoy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (63 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Datezzle holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Livejoy has 63 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of Livejoy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Datezzle's.
Livejoy ships an update monthly, Datezzle every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
