Animcraft vs Edison Go

This is a companion app of Animcraft Desktop(a 3D animation re-targeter, library, and creation tool). This app allows users to apply real-time facial motion capture and import the captured motion data into Animcraft for later editing, retargeting, and sharing. This app uses the true depth camera, or A12(or higher) Bionic processor with iOS 14 and above. This is limited to the iPhone X, iPad mini 5th generation, iPad Air 3rd generation,iPad 8 generation, iPad Pro (2018), and any newer devices.

EdisonGO can be used together with any application that is able to read the NDI signal and interpret its embedded camera data. An Unreal Engine plugin and example projects are provided in the Epic Market Place. For its full potential use EdisonGO as a companion app for Edison and EdisonPRO, Brainstorm’s simple-to-use products that create immersive, live presentations for any kind of application, from education to live events, corporate or streaming content. EdisonGO captures a live scene and uses the LIDAR of an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro to add tracking, so it can capture the information of the camera movement. The video and tracking information can be used by Edison to include in-context AR content in real time, so any kind of slide, video, image or 3D objects can be seamlessly inserted in the scene. Edison can create immersive live presentations that include PowerPointTM slides, live or recorded video feeds, images or 3D objects that can be included in 3D virtual sets, even created with Unreal Engine, as part of the scene. These presentations and objects can be also inserted in pre- recorded movies with tracking information. EdisonGO adds to this feature the capability to use a live, tracked video feed, coming from an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro and tracked with their LIDAR, as the background for the presentation, in real time, sending video and tracking information via NDI. This allows to capture a scene with a presenter in any place and add a real-time presentation as a live, in-context, augmented reality, which seamlessly follows the movements of the camera. The tracking information can be also used to capture the presenter in a green screen and include him/her in Edison’s virtual environment, or to render a virtual scene to be included in an XR videowall, so the presenter can be shot in-context with a virtual presentation. EdisonGO can also be used to control the presentation slides and objects, acting as a clicker to move the presentation forward, backwards or bring them forward to be displayed in full screen. It allows for enhanced PPT presentations, including virtual oblects on scene, pointing to the camera. --------------------- EdisonGO EdisonGO is a straight-forward, simple-to-use smartphone application that seeks to revolutionize and simplify camera tracking in non-professional and live environments. EdisonGO captures a live scene with an iPhone or iPad Pro and uses their LIDAR to add tracking to the video feed, so it can capture the information of the camera movement. The video and tracking information is then sent to Edison via NDI to include in-context AR content in real time, so any kind of slide, video, image or 3D objects can be seamlessly inserted in the scene. EdisonGO can be used in two ways. One is using the iPhone or iPad app to transfer the video and tracking information to Edison PRO, Brainstorm’s application for virtual productions and live events. the second possibility is using the Brainstorm Connect plugin for Unreal Engine. This plugin to transfer the video and tracking information from your Phone or iPad Pro directly to your UE projects.
