Augenmaß is a feed of short cards about design. Each card shows a single principle through a real example, not as an abstract rule. Craft and rules: contrast and accessibility, typography (kerning, x-height, type scales), grid and spacing, color harmony and dark mode, the Gestalt laws, motion and animation, shadow and depth, corner radii, icons, consistency. Design history: Bauhaus, the Ulm School, Swiss Style, De Stijl, Paul Rand's corporate identity systems, wayfinding by Massimo Vignelli and Harry Beck, and finally Dieter Rams' Ten Principles for Good Design. A lot of it you can try yourself instead of just reading about it: adjust contrast with a slider, fix a kerning gap by hand, compare motion curves, hit a color's exact opposite on the color wheel. 143 cards across 26 chapters, plus a dedicated practice area and a growing quiz bank. A daily goal you can hit in a few minutes. No account, no ads, no internet connection required. Just open the app and pick up where you left off
