Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: POPFLEX at none against Sweet Mayhem's shown. POPFLEX also leads on review sentiment (95% vs 75%) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 108). Sweet Mayhem's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
POPFLEX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: POPFLEX has 3.4K ratings behind it against 108, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Sweet Mayhem's written reviews are positive against 95% of POPFLEX's.
Sweet Mayhem ships an update every 5 weeks, POPFLEX every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
