Read, listen and translate your own books. Turn almost any DRM-free book into an audiobook with natural AI voices – or free with your device's voices – translate it into 88 languages, and take it with you on Apple Watch. handyREADER is a clean and focused app for reading eBooks and listening to audiobooks — without distractions, unnecessary complexity, or ecosystem lock-in. Audiobooks and translations from your own books • Create an audiobook from almost any DRM-free book or document: EPUB, PDF, TXT, DOC/DOCX, RTF, HTML, MOBI, PDB and more. • System quality converts right on your device with the voices built into iOS — no credits needed. Meanwhile you can lock the screen or read something else. • Medium and Expert qualities use natural AI voices on our server. Play a voice sample first; the exact price in credits is always shown before you confirm. • Translate a book into one of 88 languages. You get a new EPUB next to the original that keeps its layout, pictures, italics and notes. • A notification tells you when the result is ready, and it’s saved right next to the original book. • Credits come in packs as in-app purchases, never expire and are shared by your devices through iCloud. Built around simplicity, offline access, and your own library, handyREADER lets you open books from Files, iCloud, external storage, or local folders and enjoy them your way. EPUB, smart PDF flow, audiobooks in folders or ZIP archives, and even older formats like PDB are all supported in one lightweight app designed around your books — not someone else’s platform. Whether you prefer reading quietly at night or listening on the go, handyREADER keeps the experience simple, calm, and comfortable. Features include: • Support for many eBook and audiobook formats • EPUB and smart PDF reading • Audiobooks from folders or ZIP archives • Audiobooks created from your own books • Book translations into 88 languages • Audiobooks on Apple Watch, even without your iPhone • Full integration with the Files app and iCloud • Automatic position memory • Dark mode for comfortable night reading • Sleep timer with gentle fade-out • Short rewind when you resume playback • Lightweight, distraction-free interface handyREADER is designed to stay out of your way and let your books take center stage. Enjoy reading and listening for free, with optional unlimited access for people who want an even smoother experience and would like to support independent development. Audiobooks in Medium and Expert quality and book translations are paid with credits. Listening on Apple Watch requires unlimited access or an unlocked book. Your books remain on your device and are never uploaded. Optional ReadPDB Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Purchase status is recorded with RevenueCat so the unlock can be restored. The bundled sample does not count toward the three-book free library. Compatibility ReadPDB currently supports compatible, non-DRM iSilo 3 documents and PalmDOC-family documents (including TealDoc and AportisDoc). The .pdb extension was shared by many Palm OS applications, so other .pdb files may use formats that ReadPDB cannot open. The following are not currently supported: • Password- or registration-protected books • MOBI and other Palm Database variants • Damaged or corrupted files • Unrelated files that also use the .pdb extension • PDF documents • Embedded images within documents ReadPDB does not include, sell, or download books. Import only documents that you own or have permission to use.
