Verdict
Nice Kicks and SpLive both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SpLive's written reviews are positive against 57% of Nice Kicks's. Nice Kicks's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SpLive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nice Kicks has 12K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of Nice Kicks's written reviews are positive against 100% of SpLive's.
Nice Kicks ships an update every 5 weeks, SpLive every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
