Standard calendar alerts say "leave in fifteen minutes." For some of us, fifteen minutes from now is a nebulous feeling of not-quite-now. RunningBehind answers a different question: What pace do I need to get there on time? It continuously recalculates as time passes, translating a countdown into something concrete and embodied. When "twenty minutes" and "two minutes" feel the same until it's two minutes too late, RunningBehind reframes departure as the shift from "easy stroll" to "brisk walk" to "you'd better run." Unlike standard maps, you set the pace, the prep time, and the time you need to get situated once you're there. So if you bike 18 MPH, you can include the five minutes needed to come back home and grab your helmet as well as the six minutes needed to unroll your pants, lock your bike, and wipe your face before your 11:15.

BoardGameGeek's advantage is ratings volume (116 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
