Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Icon Changer at 100% against Fonts Theme's 0%. Fonts Theme's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (44 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Icon Changer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Fonts Theme sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Fonts Theme holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fonts Theme has 44 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Icon Changer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Fonts Theme's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Icon Changer ships an update every 6 weeks, Fonts Theme every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
