Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Research Bites at 5.0 against Book Lovers App's 4.0. Research Bites also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 36) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). Book Lovers App's advantage is ratings volume (148 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
