Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mushroom Identification ++ at 97% against Mushroom Identification.'s 24%. Mushroom Identification ++ also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Both are free to download. Mushroom Identification. sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Mushroom Identification ++ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Mushroom Identification. holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mushroom Identification. has 105 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Mushroom Identification.'s written reviews are positive against 97% of Mushroom Identification ++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
