"Trans4motor S" is the reciprocating aircraft engine simulator. You can operate a wide range of four-stroke engines from the Wright brothers' inline 4 cylinders to the radial, inverted V, W, and H-type on your iPad/iPhone. Recommended to anyone interested in car and motorcycle engines. This is for those who have a relentless love for engines and want to enhance their knowledge. Relive the development of the glorious reciprocating aircraft engine. https://www.youtube.com/user/Trans4motor https://www.facebook.com/Trans4motor Features 1) Seamlessly transforms into different types of engines Select from Radial to V-type, or V-type to inverted V-type, etc., and watch the running engines transform over continuous CG animation. You can enjoy watching pistons, connecting rods, camshafts, valves, and many other parts rotate, separate, and combine to make a variety of engine forms. 2) Engine sound and throttle control. Developed in technical collaboration with Sound Design Lab, the developer of the innovative engine sound application "RealEngineSim", based on the SDL method of engine sound synthesis, this new feature brings a new level of engine sound synthesis for aircraft. You can experience realistic and powerful engine sounds include, of course, the different numbers of cylinders, the difference between air-cooled and liquid-cooled engines, and the interference sound caused by the rotation of propellers. In addition, a sophisticated aircraft engine physics model is available in this new version. It calculates the engine speed based on the engine torque and rotational resistance due to the air resistance depending on the diameter and number of propellers in real time. Please try the realistic throttle operation. 3) Cutaway mode You can view the inside of the air-cooling fins and crankcase of the running engine by cutting them horizontally and vertically in real-time. 4) Engine start-up mode Turn the starter handle manually, increase the speed of the inertia starter and contact the clutch! In this mode, you can virtually experience the engine start-up procedure. 5) Machine gun mode In this mode, you can test-fire the "Type 97 aircraft machine gun" of the "Sakae" engine installed in the Zero fighter, the "MG 151/20" of the "DB 601" engine installed in the "Messerschmitt Bf 109". You can also learn how the propeller synchronize system works in super slow motion. 6) Interactive Movie ·Four-stroke engines ·Cam and Gear ·Gun ·Sleeve Valve Recorded 4 controllable presentation videos. Additional functions planned in the future. ·R-4360 Wasp Major will be available soon. ·Adding function to import 360° background images (HDRI files). The CG animated engine rotates at one tenth of the actual speed to enable users to learn the structure and to enjoy the visual. This application is based on a representation of the engine specifications available to the public for learning purposes, and is not a precise rendition of the dimensions and design of the actual machine. The company and product names used within the application are generally registered trademarks or trademarks of the respective companies.
Steam Engines
Read full descriptionHide full description
Steam Engine Simulator is a teaching game about how a steam engine actually works. You build one part by part — boiler, cylinder, flywheel, slide valve, governor — and then you drive it. BUILD IT, THEN RUN IT A 20-level campaign begins with nothing but a fire and a pressure gauge and ends with compound expansion. Every level adds one real component and one real idea, in the order an engineer would meet them. NOTHING IS SCRIPTED The flywheel carries real rotational inertia. The crank-slider is a solved constraint system. The engine genuinely stalls on dead center when the ports close, so you bar it over by hand and learn to time the steam yourself. No cutscenes, no fake gauges — the machine does what the machine does. SEE INSIDE THE MACHINE A cutaway panel shows the slide valve and piston moving in step with the running engine, driven by the same numbers that produce the forces you feel on the flywheel. A HISTORY OF STEAM The back third of the campaign is the story of the real machines: Hero's aeolipile from 50 AD, Newcomen's atmospheric engine, Watt's separate condenser and flyball governor, and Stephenson's Rocket. BUILT FOR MUSEUM USE Every goal is something you make happen rather than a timer to beat or a control to hold steady, so a first-time visitor of any age can finish any level and walk away having built something. MADE FOR TOUCH Playable entirely by touch, with finger-sized controls along the workshop floor and genuine multi-touch, so you can stoke the fire and work the regulator at the same time.
