Spanish nationality takes years. Belong Spain keeps the count honest, from today to the day you can apply, and through the wait after. In English or Spanish, one tap. Answer a few questions and Belong Spain shows your real distance to nationality: which route applies, what you have met and what still stands between you and the decision. Plus 1,041 practice questions for the CCSE. YOUR ROUTE, CLEARLY The general ten year route, two years for Ibero-American, Andorran, Filipino, Equatorial Guinean and Portuguese nationals and people of Sephardic origin, five for refugees, one for the spouse of a Spanish citizen Every requirement explained: legal and continuous residence, Spanish at A2, the CCSE and good civic conduct Sourced: Código Civil articles 21 to 23 and Royal Decree 1155/2024 Plan a trip and see what the days away would do to your continuous residence. Spanish law fixes no day count, so a long stay is flagged, never turned into a deduction STAGE ONE: LONG-TERM RESIDENCE After 5 years, permit renewals stop. The Path tab shows the requirements and when to apply, with your years counted Add the day your permit ends: a countdown, the renewal window and a reminder in time A SECOND PERSON ON THE SAME IPHONE Add your partner, or another adult, and they get their own count: route, years, trips. A trip you took together is logged once and counted for both. Everything stays on the phone. Send the app to a friend from the You tab AFTER YOU APPLY Tell the app the day you filed and the Dashboard follows the wait: days since filing against the one year the law gives the DGSJFP, Cómo va lo mío one tap away, updates you log from the Ministry's letters.
