About

Anglers Edge

Features

Anglers Edge is a fishing-intelligence instrument for lakes across Canada and the United States. It turns real government survey data into depth maps, structure layers and ranked fishing spots — and it works entirely offline, because the lake rarely has signal. DEPTH YOU CAN TRUST Every lake card names its data: measured sounding and contour surveys with their source and survey year, and clearly-labeled inferred values where a model fills a gap. If the data is old, the app says so. Low-confidence areas are shown as low-confidence — never scored, never hidden. AN INSTRUMENT • Depth shading, contours and underwater hillshade • Structure: breaklines, humps, saddles, points, inside turns, flats • Shoreline aspect and fetch exposure — how sun and wind hit each shore • Weed fringes measured by satellite; substrate (inferred, and labeled so) • Netting-survey results where fisheries data exists • Ranked hotspots per species and season, with the reasons one tap away • Spot counts that scale with the lake, so small waters stay readable • A 48-hour bite window from the forecast, and one-tap catch logging • Tap anywhere for depth, confidence and structure breakdowns YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Waypoints, catch logs, GPS tracks, sonar-log imports and lake requests live only on your device. Export them yourself (GPX/CSV) when you choose, through the apps you choose. BUILT FOR THE BOAT • Fully offline after install — maps, engine, everything • Lake packs download once on Wi-Fi, then work offline forever • Lakes organized by province and state, then by area, with a "near you" shortcut • Metric or imperial depth units • GPX export to your fish finder (visible hotspots + your waypoints) • Import your own sonar logs (.sl2/.sl3/CSV) and see them on the map • Live weather, degree-days and water levels when you're online — plain public-data requests that never include your position LAKES 19 lakes are built in — Muskoka, Joseph, Rosseau, Lake of Bays, Skeleton, Vernon, Peninsula, Muldrew, Kawagama, Bigwind, Hay Bay, McFarlane, Long, Vermilion, Ramsey, Wanapitei, Fairy, Charleston and Mary Lake — with 57 more as free downloadable packs: the Kawarthas, Haliburton, the Rideau lakes, the Near North and Northwestern Ontario, Quebec from the Eastern Townships to the Laurentians, Abitibi and Saguenay, and our first in Alberta. New provinces and states are added every month. Request a lake right from the search. Anglers Edge is an analysis tool, not a navigation aid. Depths are charted values, not real-time. Always carry official charts and safety gear.
