Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Basvaaru at free against Oala's subscription. Basvaaru also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Oala's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
