Distill is where you act out short scenes and share them. Distill 2.0 is a new app: a new feed, duets with anyone, an AI scene partner, and new features made for iPhone Duo. Distill opens a few seats at a time. Join the waitlist and record a short audition scene to move up the list, or enter an invite code from a friend to get in at once. NEW IN DISTILL 2.0 - A For You feed of short acted scenes, from comedy to drama. Follow people you like and see what is trending. - Duet in open seats. Many scenes leave one part open. In the feed, a duet with an open part shows the open line and a Play button. Take the seat, record your side, and the two halves play together as one scene. - Invite a friend to play a role with a link. - Scene looks for your takes. Natural, Film and Noir are free. - Weekly challenges. Post your entry and give awards to takes you love. - Pick a script, write your own, or scan a printed page and it becomes a scene. A script page shows the opening lines. Tap it to read the whole script. Record line by line while your lines scroll like a teleprompter. AI SCENE PARTNER, WRITER AND COACH - No one to read with? The AI partner speaks the other part in a synthetic voice, so you can act a full scene alone. - The AI writer drafts a new scene from an idea. - The AI coach is a separate practice mode. You rehearse alone and it gives short notes on your timing and pace. Coach notes never appear in the posting flow. NEW ON IPHONE DUO Everything above works on any iPhone and iPad. iPhone Duo adds these: - Director mode. Stand the Duo up like a book. Point the outside screen at one actor and the back camera at the other. You watch both cameras on the inside screen and call Next line, Again, Back and Cut. - Act together. Two actors, one Duo, two cameras. One of you faces the inside screen, the other faces the outside screen. You play the scene straight through and Distill posts it as a duet. - Script beside your take. Unfold the Duo and hold it sideways. The scene plays on one side and the script on the other, with the line being spoken highlighted. Half-fold it like a book and the script opens by itself. - Lines on the outer screen. Prop the Duo up and have a friend film you with the rear camera. Your lines show large on the outside screen, facing you. - Turn cue. While your partner speaks, your screen shows Wait with a short bar. Just before your turn, your first words appear. SAFETY Report any take, comment, script or profile. Block anyone. Delete your takes. Delete your account in Settings. DISTILL PLUS Acting, posting and duets are free. Plus adds every Scene look, changing the look after you record, unlimited AI writer drafts and coach notes (free accounts get 5 drafts and 3 notes a day), and a Plus badge. - Distill Plus Monthly: $4.99 a month. - Distill Plus Yearly: $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase (after the trial, for the yearly plan). The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID account settings. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you subscribe. Terms of use: https://distillapp.co/terms Privacy policy: https://distillapp.co/policy
