Moodcell

Moodcell gives your iPhone a mood about its battery, and a face to show it. Plug it in and it perks up. Unplug it at 8% and it gets anxious. Change your mind five times in an hour and it gets dizzy, says so once, and then goes quiet — because an escalation should end, not get louder. A FACE, NOT A PERCENTAGE Twelve moods, each with its own face AND its own name, so the drawing and the label never tell you two different things. It blinks, it breathes, and its eyes follow your finger around the screen. IT TALKS, AND IT ANSWERS Ask how it feels, how its night went, why it is quiet, or what its level is — by tapping, by typing a question, or by asking Siri. Each of those answers is built from what iOS actually reported, and when the battery cannot be read it says so rather than inventing a number. POKE IT Tap the battery and it reacts — pleased, then delighted if you keep fussing. Push past what your chosen personality will take and it gets bothered, then cross, then it goes quiet on you for a minute. Cheerful will take eight taps. Stoic will take two. ON YOUR WRIST The Apple Watch app is included. It has its own face and its own mood about the watch's battery, and it shows you how your phone is feeling too. A complication puts it on your watch face, widgets on your Home Screen, and a control in Control Center. WHEN THE APP IS CLOSED iOS gives no app a way to wake up when the charger moves. Moodcell is honest about that instead of pretending: add Shortcuts automations for Charger Connected, Charger Disconnected and Battery Level, point them at Moodcell, and it will react, and say when it is low, even when the app is not open. Settings walks you through it. ABOUT THE NUMBER iOS reports the battery level to apps in 5% steps — that is Apple's rounding, not ours, and it is the finest reading any app is given. So Moodcell says "about 55%" rather than pretending to a precision it does not have. IT NEVER NAGS, AND IT IS PRIVATE BY DEFAULT One notification per event at most, quiet hours on by default, voice off until you pick one. No account needed and no analytics: your coins travel through your own iCloud, and the Shop asks the App Store what's for sale. Only if you choose to see your coins on invaderstudio.net does anything reach us: an id Apple gives us, and your coins, nothing more. AND MORE History shows a day, a week, a month or a year of its moods and the battery, with stats, and shares your year as a spreadsheet. A charge reminder tells you, once, when a charge reaches the level you pick. Hold its face to share a picture of how it feels. In English and French. IT REMEMBERS YOU Talk to it. It answers in its own voice (with Apple Intelligence, about almost anything) and remembers your name and what you tell it, on this device only. Settings shows everything it knows, and forgets any of it. DRESS IT UP A welcome of 500 coins in your first Invader Studio app, then more for using Moodcell each day and for sharing it. Spend them on hats, glasses, capes, ties and sixteen coats of paint — the charge inside still shows how it feels — or on a new theme and a new app icon. Coins can also be bought, for anyone who would rather not wait, and they follow you to Moodcell on your other devices. ONE APP, ALL YOUR DEVICES Moodcell covers your iPhone, your iPad, your Apple Watch and your Mac.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Geekbench AI at none against Moodcell's 3. Moodcell's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
