Model ChemLab Lite for iPad - an interactive Chemistry lab simulation for the iPad.Β Model ChemLab is a unique product that incorporates both an interactive simulation and a lab notebook. Each lab includes a detailed Introduction with theory, lab procedure and an area for recording observations. Commonly used lab equipment and procedures are used to simulate the steps involved in performing an experiment. Users step-through the actual lab procedure while interacting with animated equipment in a way that is similar to the real lab experience. The Lite version for iPad is based on the standard (student) version for MacOS but only includes 5 lab experiments, instead of the 40+ lab experiments included with the full versions. Model ChemLab Lite includes the following labs simulations: Acid/base, fractional crystallization, gravimetric analysis, specific heat and the generic lab experiment. Model ChemLab is ideal for distance learning, hybrid labs, demonstrations, lab run-throughs, pre-lab work, dangerous and environmentally hazardous, expensive, or lengthy labs. ChemLab includes a large selection of lab equipment, including: beakers, calorimeter, centigram & electronic balances, electrochemical cell, Erlenmeyer flasks, test tubes, gas syringes with pressure gauges, graduated cylinders, burets, pipets, watch glasses, filtering flask with buchner funnel, bunsen burner, hot plate / Magnetic stirrer, stirring rods, distillation equipment setup, calorimeter, conductivity meter, geiger counter, potentiometer, spectrophotometer and moreβ¦
Yocle

YOCLE (Your Out-of-Classroom Learning Experience) is an education-oriented platform dedicated towards supporting the development, assessment and providing evidence of student learning in their holistic competencies and generic skills. It can be used within classroom settings but is particularly useful for recording out-of-classroom learning experiences such as extracurricular activities. Students, skill assessors, and activity coordinators can set up an account on YOCLE and view the profiles of others. Through participating in activities, students have the chance to practise and enhance their generic skills. Students can keep track of their progress of skill acquirement on YOCLE and learn more about themselves in the process. After an activity takes place, assessors may leave participants comments and a rating on YOCLE for each of the competencies related to the activity. Ultimately, the ratings amount to an average score for each competency and an overall generic score for each student. We strive to make YOCLE a student-focused application that can be used to assess students' holistic competencies in a fair and standardised manner. We envision YOCLE to be an accessible, reliable, and useful platform for both students, teachers and coordinators from outside classroom settings that is also fun to use. YOCLE (a great tool to help students to be responsible in their learning) β’ Create activity for teachers or activity coordinators such as scout leader etc β’ Assess students using different methods for their competencies β’ Rate students on the different competencies β’ Connect to peers, teachers or coordinators in a fun, engaging and intrusive way β’ Messenger capability β’ Based on research findings and framework β’ Student-centred tool that uses social networking theories for the young generation today
