Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: AMTAN at none against Shop Royal's shown. AMTAN also leads on ratings volume (41 vs 3) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Shop Royal's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for AMTAN against 5.0 for Shop Royal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AMTAN has 41 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
AMTAN ships an update monthly, Shop Royal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
