KIT3 is a small, deliberate way to stay close to a handful of people. Every week you choose three photos for each friend. Every Tuesday they go out together, at the same moment for everyone, and your friend's three arrive as yours leave. That's the whole app. There is no feed to scroll, no follower count, no algorithm deciding who hears from you. A KIT is one person, and what you send them is seen by them alone. WHAT A WEEK LOOKS LIKE The queue opens on Friday and closes on Tuesday. In between, choose three photos for each friend. Add a caption for everyone, or a different one for one person. Set a short status — how you're doing, what you're listening to, where you are — and it rides along with your photos. On Tuesday everything sends itself. You don't have to be in the app. WHEN THEIRS ARRIVE Their week opens as a set: their photos, their captions, their status. React, or leave a comment. Every conversation is private to the two of you — your other friends can't see it, and neither can anyone else. Your last four weeks stay in the app. You can keep your own photos longer if you want; what a friend sends you always goes after four weeks. BY INVITATION KIT3 is invite-only. You need a code from someone already using it, and each person has a limited number to give out. It stays small on purpose. Terms of Use: https://andrewvalko.github.io/nis-legal/kit3-terms.html

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: KIT3 at 5.0 against Connected Community's 2.6. KIT3 also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 months). Connected Community's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
KIT3 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Connected Community has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Connected Community ships an update every 4 months, KIT3 every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
